Albuca fastigiata subsp. floribunda (ex: Seneca Hill Perennials) - From high in the Drakensberg from an altitude of 7,800 feet comes this comely Albuca. A sturdy flowering stem shoots up from quite vertical cylindrical almost Allium-like leaves which splay out to create an overall vase shape in green to gray-green. The gumdrop-shaped bud opens from bottom to top with pretty white cupped flowers. The reverse of each tepal is margined in white with a strong green central stripe. Ellen Hornig grew these from seed collected on Sentinel Peak. Hardiness is as of yet undetermined. But it is very easy in pots. Sun. Summer moisture, drier in winter. Clumping. These are potted.
